*रविवार को लोक निर्माण विभाग ने हटाई बर्फ, पांगी को मिली राहत* *चुराह उपमंडल के बैरागढ़-सच्चे जोत-किलाड़ मार्ग पर जमी बर्फ हटाकर लोक निर्माण विभाग ने रविवार को इसे छोटे वाहनों की आवाजाही के लिए बहाल कर दिया। विभाग की टीम ने मशीनों की मदद से सफाई कर ट्रायल रन भी किया, जिसके बाद मार्ग को सुरक्षित घोषित किया गया।__इस मार्ग के बंद होने से जनजातीय क्षेत्र पांगी बर्फबारी के कारण पिछले 6 महीने से चंबा मुख्यालय से कटा हुआ था। ग्रामीणों को वाया जम्मू कश्मीर व कुल्लू होकर लंबा सफर तय करना पड़ रहा था। मार्ग बहाल होने से अब पांगी घाटी का जिला मुख्यालय से सीधा संपर्क जुड़ गया है, जिससे लोगों को जरूरी सामान और अन्य जरूरी सेवाओं तक पहुंचने में राहत मिली है।*

SACH PASS

It is a magnificent trekking trail located in the Chamba District of Himachal Pradesh. Set at a height of 14500 ft, this path links Pangi tribal valley to the district headquarters of Chamba. This trekking trail is one of the best trails in Himachal Pradesh and takes travelers through landscapes with stunning rivers, dense forests, and quaint little stops like orchards and hamlets. In the past, the trek was used by villagers who wanted to reach Pangi Valley from Chamba and vice-versa. The trek, no doubt, has retained its charm and has only increased in popularity among tourists and locals alike. Climbing the slopes in this challenging trek, travelers find themselves mesmerized with surreal views of snow-capped mountain peaks, beautiful clouds, and hanging glaciers. The trek usually opens from late June or early July to mid-October since it has to remain closed other times owing to heavy snowfall. The original trekking path begins from Trail in Chamba Valley and makes its way towards Sach Pass via a small village of Bhanodi.

HOW CAN I TRAVEL TO SACH PASS?

Sach Pass by Car The safest vehicle for the Sach Pass terrain is an SUV with good ground clearance. If you are traveling by 4×4 SUV, then the journey becomes all the safer. Driving an SUV you can travel to Sach Pass anytime in the 4 months as the car would bravely handle the terrain. You can also take a Sedan or Hatchback but since it is less safe, you should travel after the monsoon ends, that is anytime in September. In case you want to rent a car in Dalhousie for an expedition to Sach Pass, there are various car rentals available in Dalhousie. Travel by car to enjoy the scenic views of Sach Pass Sach Pass by Motorcycle You might have seen magnificent pictures of people traveling to this location on their motorcycle and wanted to travel there too for the exhilarating experience. If yes, then you aren’t mistaken as a motorcycle is one of the most common modes of transportation in Sach Pass and really makes up for a memorable trip. Usually, you do not have to worry about uneven terrains on a motorcycle but you might have to be prepared for the numbing cold and therefore pack appropriately. In both these cases, you should definitely carry an extra tire, foot pump, spare tube as after Bairagrh, there are many places where you won’t find people on the trail, and something as small as a flat tyre can really become risky.

The current Sach Pass status 2022 is open from both Killar and Bairagarh sides. Due to the less amount of snow this year, the road was cleared way ahead of schedule. Usually, it is by early June that the pass becomes accessible but this year, it was declared open in the last week of April itself. Do keep in mind though that the road across Sach Pass is always a serious challenge. There is still a lot of snow along the route and the condition of the road is bad.
